Come celebrate one last big week of summer before getting back to the school year! We'll be camping out on the shores of beautiful Lake Santeetlah, cooking delicious meals over the fire, splashing around in the cove, and playing games all day and all night. Santeetlah is a magical place, surrounded by wilderness and wildlife, and close to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, home to one of the last patches of old growth forest in the Southeastern US, including 14 foot diameter tulip poplar trees that we'll visit to learn about (and sit in awe of). This will be a chance to play, rest and learn to make yourself at home in the woods.
*This campout will feature lots of water play and games! Everyone must bring a life jacket. While we won’t require life jackets for everyone all the time, we will play games wearing them to normalize their use, and will encourage teens to wear them. We ask that if any teen is not a strong swimmer, they do keep a life jacket on while in the water.

Worley Cave
Friday, January 17, 2025
Worley's Cave is a gem. It's a great adventure for both beginner and advanced spelunkers. You can walk in and explore for miles passing rooms with beautiful cave formations. The section we will do is mostly walking with some climbing. The cave is perfect for a winter nature excursion, as it stays a constant 55 degrees all year long.
